Prepare for a haircut discussion
This guide does not prescribe a cut for a breed or coat. Show the groomer the current coat condition and the result you hope to maintain, then ask what is feasible and safe for the individual dog.
Questions to ask
- What length and finish are feasible given today’s coat condition?
- How will matting or distress change the plan?
- What maintenance does the proposed finish require?
